So my good friend Riley and I went up to Donner Summit the other day for a bit of climbing and I was going to photograph Brooke and Mike in the evening. That morning I remembered that Brooke had climbed before and Mike hadn’t ever climbed outside so I invited them to come up and join us in the afternoon. The weather got progressively worse and there was more snow than I anticipated but much fun was had by us all watching Mike climb for the first time outside on his brand new shoes! Brooke forgot her shoes and had to power through the snow in her flip-flops–she’s burly! We explored the train tunnel above Snowshed wall and Riley worked the lights for me. Check out his work here.
